Autumn shows us how beautiful it is to let things go

Autumn is a season of change, from the leaves turning vibrant colors to the migration of birds. It is a time for outdoor activities, enjoying healthy foods and celebrating diverse cultural festivals. The beauty of autumn has inspired poets, painters and writers for centuries. It is a season of rich traditions, surprising natural phenomena, and health benefits that make it truly unique.

This season, with its kaleidoscope of colors and cooler, cozy nights, holds a special place in the natural cycle. The myriad wonders that make Autumn not just a season, but a celebration of change and renewal. Beyond just appreciating the aesthetic beauty of fallen leaves, Autumn enriches our lives, offering lessons in transition, preparation, and gratitude.

Harvest Moon is a hallmark of Autumn.

I'm sure we've all noticed just how beautiful the full moon is at the minute, closest to the Autumn Equinox it's named Harvest Moon.

It traditionally helped farmers work late into the night. The Harvest Moon appears larger and more orange than other full moons. This phenomenon has inspired countless songs and artworks.

Cathy was on her residential workshop last week at the lovely Gartmore House, a stunning back drop to enjoy everything Autumn has to offer. Our students made a combination of Back Packs, Slippers, Note books and Pencil Cases all the essentials when packing for a Cosy Weekend Break in front of an open fire. The featured photo is of the Cosy Slippers made by our students, just beautiful and individual to them.
