About

Catherine Edwards is a 35-year veteran of the leather goods industries. She has achieved master craftsman status for her work with leather, certifying her work as of the highest standard.

Cathy began her career working part-time for a local clog maker, before pursuing a degree at Cordwainers College and then an apprenticeship with Henry Maxwell and Co. Following her training, she worked in the bespoke and luxury shoe industry for brands such as John Lobb, George Cleverley, and Jason Amesbury before undertaking a two-year residency at the Royal Armouries in Leeds.

During this time she was commissioned to make Jack boots for the Household Cavalry and started to develop her own designs for leather goods. When her first show of original designs was a sell out success, Cathy was encouraged to expand and develop her range.

Nowadays, Cathy divides her time between producing leather goods, collaborations with other quality makers and artisans, restoration and repair projects and teaching her skills in a variety of workshops.

Cathy’s exceptional career and her devotion to her craft ensure that the goods you receive from her are of the finest quality. Durable, elegant and unique, a Catherine Edwards Leather creation is an investment in luxury that will stand up to everyday use.
