Bluebells and the Brontes

Bluebells and the Brontes

We have been getting lots of orders in, all of them really varied which has made for a really interesting week. Pictured is one of our orders, a pod purse in bridle red leather; ideal for coins and credit cards and slips into your pocket easily.

We are going to take a few days off to take full advantage of this gorgeous weather and to get out and about in the countryside. Hopefully we will be able to see some bluebells which have just started to pop up and it won’t be long before we are seeing a carpet of them.

The Brontes loved bluebells, in fact Anne Bronte wrote ‘The Bluebell’ in 1840 and they have another literary link as the juice of crushed bluebell bulbs were once used a the glue for binding books.

We hope you all have a lovely Easter break and if you fancy a trip to Haworth over the Easter weekend, take some time to visit the Bronte parsonage.
