Days are short and the shadows long. There is beauty in the bare forms of trees and the cold silence. 

As December brings the year to a close, it gives us time to slow down, reflect on the journey, and look ahead. This past year has been shaped by change, new opportunities, and a continued commitment to growth—both in our craft and in the welcoming, supportive space we share. It has been a joy to see students, new and returning, learn the art of leatherwork, create with their hands, and leave with pieces made to last—whether for themselves or as heartfelt gifts crafted with care.

December is also a season of gratitude. We are deeply thankful for our clients, collaborators, and friends whose trust and encouragement have made this year possible. Your support has helped transform ideas into finished pieces and challenges into meaningful achievements.

Our featured image is an order we received for Christmas a personal Axel Messenger Bag with initials. The customer was so pleased and we received such a lovely email describing Cathy's work - 'your craftsmanship is excuisite'
