Planning the perfect picnic

Planning the perfect picnic

Cathy is currently at Rural Arts in Thirsk on this glorious day running a two- day satchel workshop. We love going to different venues to deliver our workshops and are so lucky to have found two new ones in beautiful North Yorkshire.

In the near future we will be tripping across to Artison in Masham to run a tote bag and then a picnic roll and flask workshop. There are still places available to book these, so please come and join us!

Pictured alongside the picnic basket and flask is a sprig of comfrey. Comfrey is also known as ‘knitbone’ and is known for its healing properties. This is literally ‘close to the bone’ for Cathy as she has recently broken her arm, we do though have our fingers crossed for her on Monday as she is having her plaster taken off and should hopefully be back to full output very soon.

You may be wondering how it happened; I shall leave you with, these clues and deduce from this what you may….. penguin suit, large flippers and the sisters of mercy……….

Finally, if you are planning the perfect picnic, here are some recipes to elevate the experience .
