Repair and recycle...
We are very busy in the workshop as we have lots of repairs in, which we absolutely love doing. We are replacing some buckles on a briefcase, repairing vintage bags for Lucy and the Caterpillar and fixing the clasp on a travelling jewellery case. We are also very excited and honoured to have been asked to make a carrying case with compartments for a home communion set, which we will be starting on in the next couple of weeks.
There is never a dull moment in the world of leather, and we absolutely love the variety of jobs that come our way. Cathy has delivered a workshop over the weekend at a library in Barnsley where eight people came and made journal covers, they were brilliant and both Cathy and the participants were delighted with their end products.
We have been discussing all things pancake here today and talking about our favourite fillings; here is one savoury and one sweet recipe for you to try:

We hope you had a chance to spot the planetary parade last week and for the next wonder in the sky, we bring you worm moon on the 14th of March which is a full moon. It had been thought that it got its name from the fact that as the soil warms in the spring, earthworms are much more prevalent. This will be music to the ears of hedgehogs, who will be coming out of hibernation this month, and for whom earthworms are a primary source of food. As well as worms, they also love to feast on snails, slugs, insects, windfall fruits and the eggs of ground nesting birds. They have also inspired writers such as Beatrix Potter who had a pet hedgehog which became the inspiration for Mrs Tiggywinkle.
