Treasured items and memories made.
This week, Cathy completed a particularly unique commission—something we've never had in the studio before. A customer reached out via email with a special request: to create a bag using leftover leather from their custom Morgan motor vehicle. Cathy applied the same masterful craftsmanship that has been handed down through generations to craft a stunning bag, making it a fitting and thoughtful way to repurpose the seat leather.
The Morgan Motor Company is famous the world over for its unique blend of craft, heritage and pure driving experience, the Morgan Motor Company has been manufacturing quintessentially British vehicles in Malvern, UK, for more than 110 years.
Continuing with the theme of repurposing and repair, Cathy spent the weekend at the Repair Café in Heptonstall. There, she gave new life to a much-loved dog-shaped doorstop whose feet had worn away with time. Cathy crafted an adorable pair of booties for him, allowing this faithful little companion to continue doing his job around the home—now with added charm!
Currently in the studio today we have a lovely couple celebrating their third wedding anniversary. The third year of marriage is associated with leather, one of the most versatile gifting themes. Leather anniversary gifts represent the shelter and security you feel in your relationship. What a lovely way to spend the day together and a cherished memory made.
